I just downloaded palace, but I can't get avs. People tell me I need a registration code, but why do I need a registration code?
-You still need a reg code even though communities.com (the once owners of Palace) is down and gone forever. Obtaining a reg code enables you to be able to collect props in the first place. Either go to avatarpalace.net or veriria.8k.com to request a reg code.
How do I connect to a palace if I have the palace address?
-Go to File and click on Connect to Palace. Then type in the palace address, and make sure you know the port number if it is different than 9998, and type that in as well if it is different.
People's talk bubbles disapear way to fast...how can I stop that?
-First of all you can open your Log Window...it helps to see what you have missed because it logs what everyone says and shows who said it. Go to Options and click on Log Window.
Is it possible to save a whole avatar?
-Yes, put your whole avatar on, and then right click on yourself. Click on Save/Wear Avatar. A new window will popup and you can save it on any of those blocks that you would like to. You can also save them and then be able to use shortcut keys on your keyboard to put those avatars on.
How do I play sounds on Palace?
-Go to Options in the Menu bar and click on Toolbox, then click on the little speaker, and a box of available sounds will popup. Just double click on a sound to play it.
How do I mute someone?
-Right click on them and click on mute username.
How do I turn my sounds off?
-Click on the menu bar and click on Sounds Off/On
I keep getting kicked off of palace when someone plays a really long sound...Whats up with that?
-For some reason its a glitch in palace, people can somehow kick you off of a palace by playing that...the simple way to avoid it is to turn your sounds OFF on palace.
What is the hide feature and how do I use it?
-Hide makes you NOT appear on the user list to the general population of
palace, but wizards and gods will be able to see you on it. You turn it on by
typing in `hide to hide and `unhide to become unhidden.
How do I find a user?
-Go to Options and click on Find User, or you can press the ctrl + f keys.
How do I find a room?
-Go to Options and click on Goto Room, or you can press ctrl + g keys.
How do I make a room of my own?
-Type in `newroom. To change the background type in `rpicture picturehere.gif if you KNOW what room background that you want.
What do I do to get the attention of a wizard if I need help?
-Type in `page followed by your message for help to a wizard or god.

What do I do if my prop bag corrupts, and how can I tell?
-For some people, when they try to open up their palace and scroll through a corrupted PRP file, it will crash their palace and more than likely crash their computer in the process. You can try running ScanDisk to hope that it will fix the prop bag, but more than likely it will not. You can obtain a new prop bag (palace.prp file) at Palace Tools.
How do I flip my avs in the edit box in Palace?
-Hit the ctrl + shift + v buttons to flip something vertically, and ctrl + shift + h buttons to flip something horizontally.
How do I get all those cool characters I see in a lot of people's names?
-You can search for a web page that will show you ALT characters, or you can play around with them and see what you come up with. What you do is hold down the alt buttons and play with the numbers and create differnt combos, and just see what you come up with. Alt + 936 yeilds ¿
Part of my avatar is blinking and I don't want it to blink, how do I fix it?
-Double click on each of those props one at a time and make sure that the Anim check box is unchecked. Anim is what you check if in fact you WANT an av or avs to become animated.
What is 'head' for in the edit box?
-When you check the 'head' box, it makes your yellow tennis ball dissapear.
What is 'ghost' in the edit box?
-When you check the 'ghost' box, and wear that prop, it makes it see-through.
What is 'Rare' in the edit box?
-You'll have to ask the programers of palace just WHY they made this rare feature...I do not know anyone that uses it. Basically if you click on the 'rare' checkbox, if you put that av on and drag it off of yourself, it comes out of your prop bag as well, meaning there is and can only be one of them. To get it back again you will have to drag it back onto yourself.
What is the 'bounce' in the edit box?
-If you have an animated avatar, you can prolong the effects of the animation using the 'bounce' checkbox. It basically just makes the animation go from front to back and from back to front in a continuous loop.
People are telling me I am missing my head, but I see it...Why is this so?
-Sometimes when you are on such a large server, props tend to corrupt. This does not mean it can't be fixed either. Just take that prop off that people say they cannot see, and then click on it and go to it's edit box. Give it a name or rename whatever is in the edit box that you can type in, and then try wearing that prop again and ask your friends if they can see it now.
What is the 'Dupe' button in my prop bag?
-This duplicates the selected prop.
What is cloning and why is it illegal using palace?
-Cloning is where you use an illegal palace client to steal someone's avatars, or you print screen to steal it indiscretely. Some people create really beautiful avatars/dolls, and do not want to give it out just yet or not at all because they take pride in their accomplishments. Making avatars is an artform, now matter how small it is, and it is just like infringing on someone's copyright on a painting. Make your own avatars, its much more rewarding.
Someone has my avatar(s) that I haven't every given out, what should I do?
-Politely ask the person wearing your avatar where they got it from. Most likely if they have it, other people already have it, and it is no use in going off on someone. It's probably not their fault that they have it, someone else probably traded it to them. Just polietly ask them to stick your name in the edit boxes of the avatar/props or if you have a web page ask them to stick that in there before they give it out to anyone else. If you approach people that way, they are more than likely to be nice about and (at least say) they will stick your name in the props' edit boxes.
What do I do when someone clones me?
-Cloning is actually the only one true constant on palace, and it can NEVER be avoided unless you don't wear the avatars that you create. The only good way to act is if someone clones you, ask them very cordially(nicely) why they have cloned you, and tell them that it is illegal when using palace. If they do not want to listen, `page a wizard. It is sad that people do not respect you when you say 'No I'm not giving this avatar out just yet' but you will get used to it, even though it totally sucks.
